Big Bang 2k23 - National Science Day celebration

National Science day was celebrated on February 28, 2023 at the College General Hall. Every year we celebrate National Science Day to honour the contributions of C V Raman to the field of science and also to mark the contributions of scientists towards the development of the country. The theme of this year was ' GLOBAL SCIENCE FOR GLOBAL WEL BEING '. The presidential address was by Ms. Ceena Chacko, Assistant Professor in Physical Science and  the program was inaugurated by Fr. K A Mathews, Governing body member. Revathy and Helen as the representatives from second and first year respectively delivered the science day messages. In order to sentisize the students about the need for environmental protection, a plant was given to each class. The felicitation was given by Dr. Asha K Thomas, Assistant Professor in Natural Science and Nithin Varghese, Union Chairman.

               After the formal inauguration, there was a documentary about C V Raman and experiment demonstartion by students such as volcanic eruption, fire iniating experiment, turmeric powder magic show, working of heart, germination of seed and so on. Then there was an exhibition and game session.

  

 

School Internship Phase I - Week 8

The teaching practice week 8 was from 6/2/2023 to 10/2/2023. On 6/2/2023, I had class at 8B on the topic Properties of charge from the chapter Static electricity in the fifth period. I also took a class on Vitamins for VIII A students. On 7/2/2023, I started the new chapter in 9 A World of Carbon and taught the topic Carbon and its allotropes in the second period. On 8/2/2023, I conducted the achievement test for 9 A students on the chapter Non metals. On 9/2/2023, I took a class on 9 A on the topic Graphite in the second period. On 10/2/2023, it was the last day of school internship phase 1 and we thanked teachers and students for their cooperation.

School Internship Phase I - Week 7

The teaching practice week 7 was from 30/1/2023 to 3/2/2023. On 30/1/2023, I had class at 8B in the fifth period and taught about hearing and limits of audibility. I had exam duty for the JRC examination in the third and fourth period. Rotary club took an initiative to identify the children with vision defects and I got an oppurtunity to conduct the vision screening test. There was no class on 31/1/2023 due to mid day of 3 day lent. On 1/2/2023, I had class at 8B in the third period and taught the topic noise pollution. I had exam duty in the first period at 10C and substitution at 9A. On 2/2/2023, I had class at 9a in the third period about double decomposition reactions. The teachers from our college came to observe our classes. We took an awareness class on first aid for 9A students as part of our conscientisation program at the 7th period. On 3/2/2023, I started the new chapter Static electricity in 8B in the fourth period. I taught the topic electrification. I took the second class of yoga at 8A in the first period and taught Hastottansana to the students.
